July was a very productive month for us at Cased! We've released a number of product updates to keep improving developer experience by building the terminal for teams.
Session Monitoring
Cased Shell allows you to monitor/watch all of the live SSH sessions within your organization - giving you total visibility and oversight into remote production work. On the Cased dashboard, developers can see active sessions currently running and follow any session in real-time. You can follow multiple sessions at once, one per browser tab.
Session Replays
Missed an important remote production session? Looking to share knowledge on how to get things done in a remote shell? Session replay allows developers to gain even more visibility into their organization's production work. Cased Shell securely records each SSH session and allows users to play it back to simplify knowledge sharing and auditing of activity. Simply just share a link to those who missed the session.
Open Source
Cased is in the process of open sourcing more and more of our technology, and we recently open sourced two new repos: rails-approvals, and our AWS ECS Terraform module. Rails-approvals is a gem which makes it very easy to add approval workflows via Slack to control who can start Rails console sessions, or run database migrations in production. The AWS ECS module, is a Terraform module to easily setup Cased Shell on your ECS environment, featuring end-to-end encryption, and using a Network Load Balancer.
If you're interested and want to learn more about Cased, feel free to schedule a demo, or send us an email at team@cased.com to be added to our monthly newsletter list!
